Obituary of Milo E. Dingman

Milo E. “Mick” Dingman, 82, a resident of Tumwater, Washington, lost his battle with cancer and passed away August 27, 2023.  

 

Mick was born February 18, 1941, in Reed City, Michigan, to Walter and Edna (Henry) Dingman. He graduated from Clare High School in Michigan in 1959.

 

Mick was employed by the State of Washington Department of Transportation Planning Division and retired after 27 years in 1996. He served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1964, where he was stationed in Korea and Fort Lewis, Washington.

 

Mick enjoyed a variety of sports but spent most of his leisure time fishing and playing pool. He loved growing a garden and always said, “You can't buy a decent tomato in the grocery store.”

 

He was a member of the Olympia Eagles Aerie #21, American Legion Post #13, and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1759.

 

He is survived by his daughters, Miki Hadfield and Deborah Sabo; three grandsons; and a granddaughter.
