Obituary of Kikue U. Patrick

Kikue U. Patrick passed away March 7, 2023 at home in Olympia, Washington, her residence for the last 32 years.  She was born July 9, 1948, in Naha Okinawa, Japan, where she also attended Ryuku University and married Coleman Patrick on January 17, 1974. 

 

Kikue was a longtime avid bingo player at BJ’s Bingo in Fife, Washington. Her favorite games were Double Action and Pick 7. She also loved playing the mega bingos in Las Vegas with her longtime friend.

 

Kikue also loved flowers and gardening. She always had flowers in our home and in the garden. In the springtime when all the flowers started to bloom, the yard was so beautiful. She grew all kinds of vegetables and had a variety of fruit trees in the yard.

 

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Coleman Patrick; sons, William C. Patrick of Temucula, California, Joseph F. Patrick of Olympia; daughters, Patricia Marks and Angela Patrick, both of Olympia; seven grandchildren; brother, Masahiro Uehara of Okinawa; and sisters, Teruyo Chinen, Masako Nakandakari, and Yoshien Chinen, all of Okinawa. She was predeceased by her parents, Emi and Saburo Uehara.

 

Kikue’s family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff of Assured Hospice of Olympia for all their help. 

 

A private service is planned for family and close friends.
