Obituary of Judy Mowlds

Judy Mowlds passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 5, 2023, in Olympia, Washington. She was born May 7, 1942, to Runie and Norma (Zemlicka) Erickson in Aberdeen, Washington.

 

Judy graduated from Hoquiam High in 1960. She married Adam Mowlds on June 17, 1961. She was a longtime medical receptionist in the Olympia area and a homemaker.

 

She enjoyed shopping and having a glass of wine with family and friends. She cherished her time being at Cannon Beach and Eagle Crest in Oregon. She especially loved spending time with her grandkids.

 

She is preceded in death by her by beloved husband and her parents. She is survived by her son, Rick Mowlds (Cathy) of Olympia; daughter, Susan LaVoy (Gary Ross) of Toledo; grandkids, Chase, Kyle, Courtney, and Bryce (Kiree); great-grandkids, Teegan and Texas; sisters, Kay Smith of Redmond and Nancy Thurman (Keith) of Wenatchee; plus numerous nieces and nephews.

 

A celebration of her life will be held at her son's home on Saturday, January 28, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 

Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
