Obituary of Patricia (Hemenway) Fisher

Patricia H. “Pat” Fisher, nee Hemenway, journeyed to the stars on March 11, 2022.

Pat was born on March 16, 1928, to H. Ray and Emma Hemenway in Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania.

She met her husband Roland “Bud” Fisher Jr. in 1943 at the tender age of 15 when he was an enlisted man of 20 in World War II.  They married five years later on May 26, 1948.

Pat had a full life of wife, mother to four children, and a working woman from clerk typist to taxi cab driver to retail fashion buyer.  She loved reading, Civil War history, car racing, ice cream, the beach and Scottie dogs.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Bud. She is survived by her four children, Ross (Jeanie), Dianne (Mike), Vance (Judy), and Roland III (Rhonda); and her four grandchildren, Ross Alex (Marie), Zoe, April and Roland IV.

Pat was an engaging conversationalist and enjoyed people from all walks of life and nationalities. She will be remembered and missed by the many friends and acquaintances she made during her lifetime.

She will be buried with her husband at Riverside National Cemetery in California later this spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat’s memory may be made to your local library, local animal shelter, Providence Hospice, or an organization of your choice.
