Obituary of Donald J. Nist

Donald was born in Seattle, Washington, to Albert J. Nist and Clara C. Stitt on October 13, 1939. He attended Seattle Preparatory and Green River Community College, where he graduated with an AA Degree in Forestry.

 

He is a veteran with a tour of duty from 1963 to 1965 in Korea. He married Nona Miller in 1974 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Donald worked as a Reclamation Forester at WIDCO and later Centralia Mining Company.

 

He enjoyed boating and racquetball, was a member of The Valley Athletic Club, and attended St. Michael Catholic Church.

 

Donald passed away of cancer on Friday, February 25, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Nona. He is predeceased by his parents; brother, Al; and sister, MaryAnn.
