Obituary of Eileen Orcutt

Eileen Orcutt passed away of Alzheimer’s on December 8, 2021, in Lacey, Washington, her home of 15 years.  She was born September 8, 1937, to Joseph Tilman McGuire and Ruth Anna (Moon) McGuire in Tacoma, Washington.  Over the years, she also lived in Spanaway, Washington (Oct. 1978-Feb. 2006); San Diego, California; Bremerton, Washington; Honolulu, Hawaii; Collingswood, New Jersey; Groton, Connecticut; Hampton Road, Virginia; and West Deptford, New Jersey.

 

Eileen graduated from Tacoma’s Lincoln High School in 1955, and studied nursing at Clover Park Technical College.  She married Robert Orcutt on October 25, 1957, in Seattle. She was a proud Navy wife.  She worked as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) at Heartwood Extended Health Care from 1987 to 2001.

 

Eileen loved sewing, doing crosswords, reading, bowling, and playing Solitary cards.  She loved nature, and walking miles upon miles in Volksmarches.  She also loved traveling, taking cruises to many beautiful places around the world.  She was a member of Daughters of the Nile.

 

She is survived by her husband, Robert Orcutt of Lacey; son, Robert Orcutt Jr. (wife, Maria) of Seattle; daughters, Patricia Bouland (husband, Ray) of Port Charlotte, Florida, and Kimberley Worrel (husband, Lauren) of Berlin, North Dakota); three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and brother, Joseph McGuire.

 

She was predeceased by her parents; and brothers, Don McGuire, Larry McGuire, Roger McGuire, Gordon McGuire, Jessie McGuire, Clarence McGuire, and Wayne McGuire.
