Obituary of Cory Reinhard Paul Bowman

Cory Bowman, of Lacey, Washington, was just 34 years old when he died unexpectedly on October 15, 2021, from a heart condition. The family is deeply saddened by his sudden death. He was born on June 26, 1987. He attended Timberline High School and graduated in 2006.

Cory loved sports. At the young age of three, he started playing soccer with a local peewee soccer league. As a young athlete, he also loved playing baseball and football. He had excellent eye and hand coordination and was very quick, which made him an excellent first baseman.  To the very end, Cory was a dedicated fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He became a fan at a very young age. Cory also enjoyed being creative with cooking.

Cory is survived by his loving mother, Cheryl Bowman; his younger brother, Daniel Bowman; his baby sister, Whitney Bowman; his grandmother, Ingeborg Bowman; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and so many good friends. His father, Reinhard “Rock” Bowman, predeceased him in 2013.

Anyone who knew Cory was touched by his kindness. He would give anyone the shirt off his back if it would help them. He always said please and thank you. He was a grateful man.

In lieu of flowers, please remember Cory by doing a random act of kindness to uplift another person.

Cory is now finding the peace, love, and joy he so richly deserves.

A celebration of Cory’s life will take place at a later date.
