Obituary of Darlene Mae Fennel

Darlene Mae Fennel passed away of natural causes on September 27, 2021, in Olympia, Washington.  She was born August 9, 1934, to John and Nellie Campbell in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. 

 

Darlene married Gerry Craig in March 1951; they were divorced in 1973.  She married Robert Fennel in 1975 in Olympia. Professionally, she worked for the State of Washington.

 

She was kind-hearted, and her family was her reason for living.  Her complete joy was when a family member stopped by for a visit.  She also loved her flower garden, painting with watercolors, traveling, and watching the Seattle Seahawks.

 

Darlene is survived by her sons, Berry (Julie) Craig, and Randy (Tina) Craig; daughters, Linda Craig (Ron Wagner) and Laurie Craig (Terry Martin); brother, Melvin (Toti) Campbell, 10 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her husband, Robert; and son, Timothy Craig.

 

A graveside service will be held Friday, October 8, 2021, 1:00 p.m. at Odd Fellows Cemetery, 3802 Cleveland Ave. SE, Tumwater, WA 98501.  A celebration of live will follow the service at 706 Dennis St. SE #10, Tumwater, WA 98501.
