Obituary of Bernadette Knetter

Bernadette Knetter, 91, passed away July 5, 2021 in Lacey, Washington.  She was born May 6, 1930, to Albert and Helen Luszcz in Chicago, Illinois. Over the years, she also lived in Tumwater, Washington (2017); Mission Viejo, California (2016); Fullerton, California (2012-2016); Hemet, California; and Roswell, New Mexico.

 

Bernadette graduated from Foreman High School in Chicago.  She worked as an executive secretary at Jewel Food Stores Corporate Office.

 

She was the best ever mom!  She deeply loved her family. She was supportive, loving, nurturing, and always put others before herself.  She also loved cooking and baking.  She was a member of St. Michael Parish in Olympia.

 

Bernadette is survived by her daughters, Mary Foy of Tumwater, and Nancy Zealey of Placentia, California; brother, Bernard Luszcz of Chicago; and sister, Dorothy Burroughs of Bensenville, Illinois.  She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph; son, Jude; sisters, Jean McCarthy,  Irene Brown, Evelyn Schiel, and Terese Upchurch; and parents, Albert and Helen.

 

A service will be scheduled at a later time in Chicago.
