Every girl has a senior crush when they are a freshman, Greg was mine. He was the sweetest boy and like me a huge Zeppelin fan. Over the years we had sporadic contact with Timberline and Led Zeppelin always being our touchstones. I am sorry for the late condolences but, I am just now learning of his passing. My heart breaks for the whole Waldron family. I am sure the Stairway to Heaven led him to a better place.

+ 1
Greg, you were kind, sweet, giving, quirky, simple yet complicated, smart, and so very, very loving. Different in the most wonderful way! You were God’s gift to me when I needed you most in life.
A memory? I have hundreds and hundreds of them from just over the past 12 years. Literally everywhere I go in this town I see you. I sit in my home with my kitties and I feel you here--you were a part of EVERYTHING in my life.
I guess one of my best memories is so simple--just riding in your car to the lake on a warm summer day, windows down, “Cruise” on the radio, singing with it and laughing. No worries for that day, just each other’s company on a beautiful day.
BBQing me your specialty, a flat iron steak, Leavenworth, playing with my kitties, gardening, going to breakfast at Hawks Prairie, the state fair, concerts, Journey, so many songs, but mostly “Need You Now” by Lady A, which you sent me countless times, including in the last week before you left us. And, of course, Kashmir. I have a long list on my fridge of all the things that remind me of you that took me forever to write because there is just THAT much.
You touched my life like no one else. You mattered to me like no one else. I’d loved you like no one else. And I know you felt the same, of that I’ll never doubt.
I am glad you are now out of all of your pain and with your mother, but I selfishly want you to come back so very badly. I cry every day, missing your friendship.
A day with Greg was never, ever boring. My heart is just broken that I will never see you again, as you truly took a piece of it with you. You touched my life, Gregory Scott. You mattered.

My name is Ana Rodriguez and I met Greg at Pasco processing; he came looking for a job and was hired for the season. From the time he was employed to the end of the season, I never had an issue with him, he did his best to always be on time and rarely called in. Carmen, one of his leads, always requested him when needing people because he was one of the few she could rely on. She liked working with him and developed a friendship. He was always very respectful, friendly, and good to get along with. One of the last texts I had from him was back around the end of November, and he said thank you for everything. I didn't understand back then. I was like ok you're welcome. Now it makes sense; he had been having medical issues and was grateful for working for us. The pleasure was all mine to have gotten to know him and work with him.
May he rest in peace.
