Obituary of Evelyn June Tyler

Evelyn June Tyler, 91, of Pe Ell, passed away on December 31, 2020. She was born June 16, 1929, to Wert and Arada Lusk. Evelyn was the 9^th child born of 15 children. 

She married William Harvey “Bill” Tyler III on December 21, 1947, and together they had three children.

Evelyn loved to sing and would serenade listening ears in her strong, pleasing voice while caring for her family.  As a duo, Bill and Evelyn would entertain as Bill accompanied her on the piano. She was an excellent cook who shared her delicious meals with anyone who sat at her table.  Gardening was a favored hobby and she spent hours working in the yard and cultivating a large vegetable garden.  She canned what was grown, and was generous with sharing her bountiful harvest. Evelyn assisted and shared her many skills as she helped family and friends with different projects. Even with all she did, she still found time to sew, which she learned to do as a young girl sewing clothes and quilts.  Evelyn was a loving grandmother and all her grand and great grandbabies loved to be snuggled tightly in her warm embrace. 

She is survived by her sons, Todd (Ruth) Tyler and Fred (Sherry) Tyler; grandchildren, Sheila (Ryan) Tyler, Aleisha (Graham) Johnson, and Joey (Becca) Tyler; great grandchildren, Kiah, Chloe, Morgan, Samuel, Efrem, Clover, Jett, and Bentley. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; and daughter, Doreen.
