Obituary of John C. Holthaus

John C. Holthaus, 61, passed away September 30, 2020, in Tumwater, Washington, his home of seven years.  He was born March 1, 1959, to Wilfred “Bud” and Venita Holthaus in Seattle, Washington. He also lived in Elma, Washington, at Star Lake in “The Lake House.”

 

John was in a longtime, loving relationship with Kaye Krohn Brozina. Professionally, he owned/operated a landscaping business. He loved keeping his yard/lawn in the best condition that he could.  He had a green thumb and loved to plant and grow.  John loved fishing, golf, woodworking, watching any/all sports, live music and concerts.  He also loved animals, and always had cats and/or dogs.  He was loving, caring, and will be remembered as being a “class clown.”

 

He is survived by his partner, Kaye Krohn Brozina of Tumwater; son, Andrew Booth of Seattle; daughter, Rachel Booth Berger, and son-in-law, Casey Berger, of Seattle; daughter, Jessica Brozina Bayne, and son-in-law, Brandon Bayne of Tenino, Washington; granddaughter, Hazel “Hazel Bug” Berger; brothers, Bill and Chris; and sisters, Michelle and Theresa.  He was predeceased by his parents.

 

A celebration of life will be scheduled when we can gather together.
