Obituary of Lan Thi Ton-Nu

Lan Thi Ton-Nu passed away due to stomach cancer on August 27, 2020, in Olympia, Washington. She was born October 20, 1953, to father, Cac That Ton, and mother, Duyet Thi Nguyen, in Hue, Vietnam. She lived in Hue until moving to Olympia in 1995.

 

Lan graduated from Ham Nghi high school in 1972.  She married Binh Dang Nguyen on January 15, 1988 in Hue.  Professionally, she was an elementary school teacher in Hue, and a nail technician in Olympia. She was a member of Lien Hoa Temple.

 

Lan was kind, mild-mannered, humble, sociable, loveable, and generous. She loved listening to prayer music, crocheting, knitting, cooking, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.

 

She is survived by her husband, Binh Dang Nguyen of Olympia; son, Trong Dang Nguyen of Olympia; daughter, Sang Thi Nguyen of Olympia; brothers, Huong That Ton, Mao That Ton, and Thong That Ton; and sisters, Mai Thi Ton-Nu, and Lai Thi Ton-Nu.  Her parents predeceased her.
