Obituary of Richard Koochagian

Richard Koochagian passed away peacefully on August 3, 2020, with his family by his side.  He was born to Kirk and Virginia Koochagian in New York, where he attended Catholic School.

 

After graduating, Rich joined the U.S.  Army, serving six years, including time in Vietnam.  He worked for many years for the State of Washington as a manager.

 

Rich was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He was loved dearly by his wife and family, who considered him a true hero.  He had a great sense of humor, the gift of gab, and was a straight shooter. He enjoyed camping, the New York Yankees, and spending time with his family.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kirk and Virginia. He is survived by his loving wife, Sheila; sister, Veronica; son, Rick; daughter, Kari; nephew, Luke; niece, Angie; and grandchildren, Rob, Sam, Katie, Jacob, and Allie.
