Timothy Ford

Obituary of Timothy David Ford

Tim was a dedicated husband, father and friend. Tim, his father (Bill Ford) and grandfather (Tom Ford) together accumulated 81 years of service to the Washington State Department of Game. This is mentioned this first because, from pheasant farmer to Game Warden and retiring as a Sargent, he was a proud generation dedicated to the wildlife resource while making his family and his work family as one.

He loved to just float in his boat; it really did not matter that he seldom caught a fish as long as he had a bag of “peanuts in the shell” and a beer or hot coffee in the thermos. He was happy to have a little piece of ground, his cows, and a riding lawnmower. His love for his children was proven daily by providing a safe and happy home with friends and family. Yearly camp vacations were always a highlight for him, even though most pictures are of him asleep in a camp chair.

Tim is survived by his wife, Gail; son, Sean Ford of Ephrata; daughter, Tiffany Ford Martens of Shelton; mother, Dorothy Ford of Shelton; sister, Susan Ford Darling of Shelton; brother, Dale Ford of Auburn; and four amazing grandchildren, Maddie, Josie, McKayla and Timmy.

He and his wife were best friends for 48 years. Tim was a true gift in our lives.
