Obituary of Kari Kolseth Eaton

Kari Kolseth Eaton passed away February 20, 2019 after a brief illness at Centralia Providence Hospital. Kari was born in Oslo, Norway on November 2, 1929. She married James O. Eaton and immigrated to the United States in 1951.

Kari and James traveled across the U.S., raising their sons while James served in the U.S. Marine Corps. They moved to Shelton, Washington, in 1967. Kari and the late James Eaton had four boys, James Jr. “Jimmy” of Moses Lake, Joe who passed away in 1988, John of Tumwater, and Jeff and his wife Paulette of Centralia.

Kari served in the Sons and Daughters of Norway, celebrating her Norwegian heritage. She was involved in a local stitchery guild, volunteered at the school, and was very involved in her boys’ activities. She enjoyed the flowers in her yard, decorating her home, and celebrating all the holidays with her family.
