Obituary of Linda Marie Cave

Linda Marie Cave passed away of bone cancer on February 13, 2019 in Olympia, Washington.  She was born October 4, 1945 to Bonnie B. Cave and Alice A. (Cheek) Cave in St. Helens, Oregon.  Over the years, she also lived in Bellingham, Washington, and England.

 

Linda earned a BS at Oregon State University, MS at the University of Portland, and a PhD in Mathematics at Oregon State University.  She was Professor of Mathematics at Western Washington University and a teacher and administrator for the Department of Defense Dependent Schools in Europe where she was named Teacher of the Year in 1989.

 

Linda is survived by her husband, James Paulsen of Olympia; daughters, Jeanette Howell, Alyson Crafton, and Heather Carter; and nine grandchildren.
