Obituary of Doris M. Thompson

Doris M. Thompson, 88, passed away January 4, 2019 in Lacey, Washington.  She was born April 23, 1930, to John and Anna Baldy in Donnelly, Minnesota. She resided in Olympia, Washington, for over 50 years.

Doris was the salutatorian the year she graduated from Morris, Minnesota High School.  She married Fredrick H. Thompson on April 12, 1957. Professionally, she worked as a bookkeeper.

Doris did volunteer work for the Senior Center, crocheted afghan blankets, enjoyed word puzzles and games, and rooted for the Minnesota Vikings football team!  She also loved programs and reading materials on extraterrestrial life (aliens), as well as watching old TV Western programs such as The Rifleman and Gunsmoke. 

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy and Loreli; two grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her parents; husband; sister, Bernadine Selden; and brothers, Clarence Baldy and Larry Baldy.
