Dale was a very special friend of mine for around 40 years! He has such a passion for wrestling that I admired so much! He will be missed by all! Rest in peace my friend!

Dale's always been a good friend and I lost count how many times we've run up and down the road for one wrestling event or another. Back in 2012, I was distraught over the loss of someone else who was really close to me. I went through a very deep depression that took a long time to come out of. At one point, Dale started talking to my family and other people close to me. Can't give you the exact quote but what he said was something like, "I think Dave's hanging on by a thread and he could snap at any time. We need to be watching him for awhile."
It's friends like that who kept me from from going off the deep end or doing something that I couldn't undo. It's what a real friend and brother will do. It's a beautiful thing when you know people like that have your back.

Dale always loved our dogs as much as he loved us and nicknamed them, "The Christian Dogs," because the first time he saw them they were basking in the sun on our back porch, paws together, heads raised, eyes closed. He and Denise lovingly cared for those dogs several times for us when we traveled. He always accused us of having "that glow", and made us all giggle when he said to our little boy, "Come here, boy! Let me teach you a few new words...Ever had a cigar before?" I loved hearing his stories about his college days and travels. He did life in his own, honest way with humor and love and we will NEVER forget him.

All our sympathy, love, and prayers Denise as you mourn and celebrate your husbands life.
Dale was a good friend and I will miss him greatly.
So much BS in the world, especially the church world. But not with Dale. Dale was unvarnished, a truth teller, a story teller, great writer, true friend, and wrestling professional.
He adored his wife and appreciated his friends.
Dale was a good man, he made the world a better place.
I think in heaven, after the 30 days of training Dale will be in charge of the “Anti-BS Karma Dept." Just saying.
If you need anything Denise, especially if in Ohio please let us know.
Dales Friend, Nathan

Dale was a valued member of the Bible Study at United Churches. We miss him already. I enjoyed his sense of humor and insights about what we were studying. He shared in the support group part of the meeting. He told us about how strangers helped him. He was a gentleman and a scholar.
Take care of yourself at this difficult time. God be with you!

Dearest Denise;
Sending sympathy and love to you in your time of loss. I am so sorry that you and Dale had to fight this battle but I am glad you had time together and could enjoy a life together with your love for each other. Hold onto the memories, the photos and the laughter that you shared together. Know that Dale will always be with you giving you strength and peace. I send much caring to you and my thoughts are with you. I heard a saying once that we go from being worker caterpillars on earth to being beautiful butterflies full of color and life and no pain. I believe that Dale is always fluttering around you putting color in your life. Take care. Sending sympathy and all my love - Aunt Theresa O.

Dale was a great guy and a good friend. Besides what is said in his obituary he was also a screenwriter and actor. We made 4 movies together, one which has not been released yet. He will be greatly missed.
