Obituary of Thomas Cecil Borges
Thomas Cecil Borges, 66, passed away October 28, 2018 in Olympia, Washington. He was born December 28, 1951 to Cecil Borges and Marge Walters in Chicago, Illinois. He grew up in Princeton, Illinois, and graduated from Princeton High School.
Thomas proudly served in the U.S. Navy, 10 years active duty and 22 years in the reserves. Professionally, he worked as a signal technician for King County for 17 years, and for the Washington State Patrol and Washington State Department of Transportation for 13 years.
Thomas had a larger-than-life personality, and could always make people laugh. He loved bowling, classic cars, umpiring, hunting, fishing, and playing pool. He was a Scout Master with the Boy Scouts of America, and member of the Tacoma Elks Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy (Brady) Borges of Olympia; son, Patrick Borges; daughter, Caitlin Borges; stepdaughters, Katelyn and Julie Palladino; stepson, Eric Palladino; grandchildren, Nicholas and Parker; mother, Marge Walters of Princeton; brother, Kevin (Sandy) Borges of Princeton; and sister, Sue (Ted) Roberts of Princeton. He was predeceased by his father, Cecil Borges; and stepfather, Lee Walters.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 17, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at Capital Vision Christian Church, 1775 Yew Ave. NE, Olympia, WA 98506. There will be a private family funeral service at Tahoma National Cemetery.
