Dear Dick and Doris,
I remember Annette as that cute little girl and the beautiful teenager and adult that she grew into. She and our Lynn were the same age, so we have that in common.
May God keep his arm around you and be with you all the time.
Love,
Gaytha Ten Eyck

I was saddened to hear about the passing of Mrs. Stewart. I have fond memories of her while I worked as an intern in the counseling office at Roosevelt during the 2015-16 school year. She was an amazing teacher who had such a powerful presence and impact on her kindergarten class(es). I am privileged to have crossed paths with her. I will especially remember when on my 39th birthday she had her entire kindergarten class sing and sign Happy Birthday to me. It was a wonderful memory that I will not soon forget. Mrs. Stewart will be deeply missed.

Annette was my son Camden’s kindergarten teacher and I volunteered in her classroom.
I enjoyed watching her teach with such kindness and compassion and was so thankful that my son was blessed with her as his first example of an educator.
Annette gifted each kindergartner with a framed photo of them together as a parting gift at the end of the year, as well as a memory book of all their best work. It was reminiscent of her care for each of her students.
As Camden grew and moved on to other grades, Annette did not forget him, she always asked him how he was in the hall, or smiled and waved and made him feel like he was special. This, however, is what made Annette special in the eyes of her students, as well as their parents.
Thank you for making a lasting impact on my child. You will not be forgotten.

My son had Mrs. Miller Stewart as his kindergarten teacher 13 years ago. We loved her from the start.
She was so patient, kind and loving. Everything you want in a teacher of your child. My son was a very busy boy and she was so wonderful with him. Many times while reading to kids she had him right next to her with her arm gently around him. My son recently graduated from high school and we got a sweet message from Annette with the picture of the card we made her at the end of kindergarten.
I'm so very sorry for your loss. She made such a difference in countless children and families.
I know our lives changed knowing her.
Love, Lynn & Sammy Flaisig

I'm very sorry for your loss. I didn't know Annette personally, but I am an EleAmbassador too, and had seen her name often on our group page, and wanted to express my sympathy. God bless.

My deepest sympathy for Annette’s family. I attended St Joseph’s school with her in Pierre. She was such a sweet child. I wish I could have known her as an adult. I hope you all find peace.

Annette’s passing is beyond our comprehension. We have known each other since teenagers and spent alot of time together. We will miss her, her smile and her laugh. She was godmother to our oldest son, Zach. In recent years we talked on the phone and tried to catch up on kids, grandkids and just life in general.
We love her and will miss her greatly but will rejoice in the fact that we got to know her and shared her life.
Our hearts and prayers go out to all of her family and friends.

Annette enjoyed dancing and was a longtime member of Evergreen Country Dancers, where she met John. Her dance family morns the loss of one of the sweetest people. Our hearts go out to John and her family.
