Obituary of Charles A. Andersen

Charles A. Andersen, 70, passed away March 26, 2014 in Seattle, Washington. He was born November 25, 1943 in Salinas, California to Carl and Cora Andersen. He graduated from Oakville High School in 1962 and was a proud Wildcat graduate of Central Washington University in 1969. Chuck was a hard worker. He learned the value of hard work growing up doing various jobs on his family farm, and spent summers working in the Alaska fish canneries with his father and brother, Jim. Chuck began his career with Allstate Insurance in 1969 and retired after 30 years of service to them. Chuck married Susan James on July 4, 1994 in Dutch John, Utah. Chuck was passionate about his family, sports, family genealogy, and traveling to visit friends and relatives across the world. Chuck loved to live life to the fullest. His enthusiasm was contagious and he made friends everywhere he went. He loved to talk about his grandchildren, sports, and his latest adventures. Chuck is survived by his wife of 19 years, Susan James; brother, Jim (Gail) Andersen; daughter, Holly (Greg) Weber; daughter, Andrea (Trygve) Grey; granddaughters, Alexis Hedgecock, Kristina Weber, and Lauren Weber; grandson, Max Grey; son, Ryan (Sherri) Hedgecock; nephews, Steve Andersen, Scott (Janett) Andersen; grand-nephew, Joshua Andersen; and grand-niece, Lindsay Andersen.
