Obituary of Wesley Simpson

Wesley Simpson passed away March 31, 2018, in Centralia, Washington, his home for the past year and a half. He was born May 7, 1949, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He lived in Mount Vernon, Washington (1988-2016), and Sitka, Alaska, where he graduated from high school in 1969. Wesley married Linda K. Schott on March 2, 1974, in Sequim, Washington. Professionally, he was a construction laborer out of Anchorage, Alaska (1976-1988), where he worked on the Alaska Pipeline; and for K&B Construction/ Excavating in the early 1990s. He loved hunting, gardening, and coin collecting. He was a member of local construction labor unions, and the Moose Lodge in Sitka beginning in 1974. Wesley is survived by his wife, Linda Simpson; sons, Wes Simpson of Sierra Vista, Arizona, Travis Simpson of Mt. Vernon, Washington, and Ryan Simpson of Centralia, Washington; adopted grandson, Kayden Simpson of Centralia; eight additional grandchildren; brothers, David Simpson of Longview, Washington, and Steven Simpson Hewitt of Minnesota; sisters, Vickie Heibult-Straw of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Karen Ziemkowski and Kathy Walker, both of Hewitt, Minnesota; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Darrell and Dawn Simpson; and brother, Darrell D. Simpson. Please leave memories of Wesley or condolences for his family in the Guestbook below.
