Obituary of John D. Yates

John D. Yates of Tumwater, died at his home on Wednesday, March 22, 2006 with his family by his side. He was born August 18, 1963 at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California to Glendell U. and Cheryl H. Yates. He graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1981. John married Becky L. Krumm on October 26, 1991, she survives him at the family home in Tumwater. He had been a field consultant for 7-11 stores. John enjoyed collecting trains and owls and was a member of Capitol Vision Christian Church. In addition to his wife survivors include his daughter Amanda of Moses Lake; mother, Cheryl Haug of Moses Lake; grandmother, Martha St. Jermain of Montana; brothers, Randy Yates and Raymond Haug, wife Brandi ; sisters, Janet Edwards, husband Gilbert, June Strawn, husband Jeff and Martha Haug all of Moses Lake; nieces and nephews, Hailey Brindle of Mill Creek, Jennifer, Melissa, Christopher, Jaimie, Brittanie, Derrek, Carissa, Erica, Jessica, Traci, Rainah and Brandan all of Moses Lake; great nieces and nephews, Anthony, Isabella, Alex, Aniessa, Tommy, Michael and Taylor all of Moses Lake; stepbrothers, Lenny, Bill, Alan, Nita and Alvin. He was preceded in death by his father, Glendell Yates; grandparents, Guy and Nancy Yates, grandfather, John St. Jermain and stepfather, Arne Haug. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 1, 2006 at Capital Vision Christian Church, 1775 Yew Avenue NE, Olympia 98506, 360-754-7700.
