Obituary of Helen Kathleen Turner

Helen Kathleen Turner, 81 of Olympia, died Monday, November 1, 2004 at her home. Kathleen was born May 5, 1923 to Charles Augustus and Minnie Viola (Longmire) Turner in Olympia. She was raised at South Bay and graduated from Olympia High School in 1941. She was employed as a legal secretary for 19 years and 17 years as a billing clerk for the Washington State Department of Printing. Kathleen enjoyed growing flowers, sewing, traveling, and photography. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Olympia. Kathleen is survived by two nephews; Robert W. Turner, of Federal Way, and Thomas N. Turner, of Olympia; one sister-in-law, Edith Turner, Olympia; two great nieces, two great nephews, one great-great nephew and one great-great niece. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 13, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church, 9th and Washington, Olympia. Memorial donations may be made to Children’s Orthopedic Hospital, Seattle or Shriners Hospital for Children, Portland, Oregon.
