Obituary of Donne Gavin Schneider

none Donne Gavin Schneider, 93, passed away on March 25, 2006 at Olympia Manor. He was born on July 19, 1912 in Olympia. He was the Great grandson of the pioneer settler, Conrad Schneider, who lived on Schneider's Prairie.Donne retired after working for 20 years as a real estate agent and Senior Appraiser. Donne’s hobbies included flower and vegetable gardening and playing both bridge and pinochle cards. Donne enjoyed sharing his love of gardening with others. He taught others how to grow flowers and plan a vegetable garden and shared his new seedlings with many. Survivors include his wife Mildred W. Schneider of 41 years, his daughter Frances (Harvey) Bonnema, brother Rudy (Kat) Schneider, sister Mary Hastings, ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and extended family. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie, his son Chet and his three brothers, Bill, Eugene and Andy. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, April 1, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at the Masonic Center, 521 North Street SE, Tumwater. Light refreshments follow the service.
