Dear Mrs. Marshall, Ron, Dan,
My mother sent me the newspaper column recently regarding the passing of your father. He was an important man in my life because he was one of a close handful of men in our church that helped to shelter my family when we were growing up. His faith was evident in his attitude about life and people.
I am so sorry for your loss. It is a great one. We all do have comfort to know he has gone home to be with God.

Kathy, Mrs. Marhsall and Family - I will always remember Mr. Marshall as the sweetest of all my friends' fathers! You all were always so good to me and made me feel loved! And I can never thank your family enough for teaching me pinochle on a camping trip - I now have a wonderful pinochle-playing group of friends! Hopefully Tom and my Dad are sitting together in heaven talking engineer talk and maybe arguing about just what a cubit really is! I am so sorry for your loss and will keep you all in my prayers! Kathy--My mom called me to tell me of your father's passing. I am sorry for your loss. It's been years since I have seen you, but I have warm memories of the many hours we spent playing together as girls. I didn't know your father well as he was usually at work when I came over after school, but I do remember him being home on Saturdays and it seems he was usually outside working around the house, the garden, etc. I knew you had a kind and loving family and reading your father's obituary reinforced those feelings. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Audrey and family: We have many wonderful memories of Tom. His quiet strength and gentle humor has been an inspiration to us. I loved the smile on his face when we won a pinoche hand together. We remember the adventure of walking together through a lot of brushy ground looking for property for the new Lacey Presbyterian Church -- and interviewing organizing pastor candidates! Our warmest thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Carol and Marv

I only met Tom on a few occasions and each time he made a great impression on me. His lagacy as a skilled engineer for the State of Washington Highway system will be felt for years to come. I believe Tom's strong family values, have been reflected through his son Ken, my very good friend. Our prayers are with each family member during this difficult time of loss.

Our love goes out to all of you. I have been thinking back about the wonderful times playing at the lake, the Christmas and Thanksgiving times we spent together over the many years, and the deep and quiet voice of Uncle Tom, who didn't say much, so you knew when he said something it was a good idea to listen! He was always such a kind, generous, and loving man and certainly passed that on to his children. I love you all and am here if you need anything! Niece and Cousin Karen

We send our love and sympathy to all of those who love Uncle Tom, and that's a substantial list for sure. Though separated by many miles, I'm thankful that we managed to visit with the Marshall family periodically, and kept in touch. In my memory, Uncle Tom didn't change much over the years. He remained quiet and sweet, and was always genuinly interested in our lives and those of our daughters. We were proud to be able to share pictures and stories of our precious granddaughter, Baylee with him and Aunt Audrey and the cousins. They loved her before they ever met her. We will miss Uncle Tom. Much love from niece Pam and Rick

When we came to assist in organizing a new congregation in Lacey Tom Marshall and his wife Audrey were so essential to the success of that endeavor. Not only did they serve and work faithfully but their Christian maturity helped to shape the spiritual climate of that infant congregation. They were such a blessing to us as we worked to establish a congregation of faith in that community. Audrey, we know you will miss Tom, but let us all be comforted by the knowledge he is now with the Lord he served so well for so many years. We believe these words of the Apostle Paul describe the life of Tom Marshall . "Some people, by always continuing to do good, live for God's glory, for honor, and for life that has no end. God will give them life forever." Romans 2:7. Audrey, may you, your children, your grandchildren all know the presence, power and peace of our Lord Jesus at this time.

We were so sorry to hear of Tom's passing, but knew that he had been struggling so hard - and getting weaker and weaker. We should all rejoice that he is now in a better place and is no longer suffering and in pain - but our hearts and prayers go out to you Audrey and family. It is such a difficult time. Our love and prayers to you all.
