Obituary of Lylah Fern Lynch

Lylah Fern Lynch, 74, a 20 year resident of Olympia, died Monday, September 27, 2004 at home. She was born in Beatrice, Nebraska on May 29, 1930 to Harry Roby and Cora (Rowlen) Lewis. On August 25, 1951 Lylah married Lester D. Lynch. He preceded her in death on June 25, 1985. She worked as a nurses’ assistant for 20 years and was employed at McKenna Nursing Home, McKenna and at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Hermiston, Oregon. Among her hobbies was her flower garden, “Sam” her Chihuahua, bingo and taking pictures of everything. Lylah is survived by 1 son, Roby Lynch, of Lacey; 2 daughters, Debby Brownell (Steve), of Olympia, Lesley Edwards (Steve), of Alger; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Stella Eastwood, of Kansas, and Pauline Damron, of California. Preceding her in death is 1 daughter, Lynda Wells in 1982, and 1 granddaughter, Stephanie Brownell, in 2000. A memorial service will be held at Providence St. Francis House,3415 12th Ave NE, Olympia, Saturday October 2, 2004 at 3:00 PM.
