Obituary of Dyana Lee-Connell

Dyana Lee-Connell Dyana Lee-Connell, 41, a lifelong resident of Olympia, died Sunday, April 2, 2006 at Mother Joseph Care Center in Olympia. Dyana was born February 3, 1965 in Olympia to Georganne (Lynch) and David Connell. She attended Tumwater schools in her younger years and graduated from Olympia High School in 1983. She was employed by Thurston County Roads for 16 years. Dyana loved her animals and loved going to Elma on Saturday nights with her mom to see the car races. She was a member of the Church of Living Water. Survivors in addition to her parents include four nieces; Crystal Crawford, Olympia, Isabella Lee, Pensacola, FL, Tawnie Connell and Ashly Connell both of Marysville, WA; two brothers, Major Jeff (Rosie) Lee, Pensacola, FL and Tony Connell of Marysville, WA; three sisters, Lori Graham, Utah, Deborah Crawford, Tumwater and Liza Connell of Iowa; also her grandmother, Alma Connell of Olympia. The following remarks were shared with family to pass along to her friends. Dyana loved her co-workers and friends and she knew that she was loved by them. Her aka: was “Big Bird” at work where they made special jobs just for her like “crack inspector.” She would travel around the county measuring cracks in the roadways. She wrote these things down she would like to share…...I would not have picked out a better family. God did a great job. I love my co-workers and all my friends at Mother Josephs. Thank you for all your support and prayers. I know that I am in a safer and happier place. Don’t give up your dreams. The first thing I am going to do is greet my family, friends and animals that went ahead of me. Contributions may be made to Providence Mother Joseph Care Center in Olympia. At her request, Dyana does not want black to be worn as this is a happy time for her. Please leave memories and condolences in our guest book by clicking on the "View Guestbook" link below.
