Obituary of William M. Lane

William M. Lane, 83, a resident of Tumwater, died Monday, August 29, 2005 at Providence St. Peter Hospital after a brief illness.He was born October 30, 1921 in Kerens, Texas to William F. and Christine (Stevens) Lane. He married Lily Serna in 1944 in San Francisco, she preceded him in death in January 2002. William worked in sales in wholesale and retail furniture. He also lived in Lake Tahoe. He served in the Navy during WWII. He was a member of Rotary, the Elks and the Masons. William is survived by his sons, Jerry Lane of Olympia and Bruce Lane of Sonoma, California; sister, Dorothy Gaines of Denver, Colorado; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchild. There will be a memorial service 2:00 p.m. Sunday September 4, 2005 at the Masonic Center, 521 North St SE, Tumwater.
