Obituary of Emma M. Dennis

Emma M. Dennis passed away February 2, 2005 at Evergreen Nursing Home in Olympia, Washington due to Parkinson's disease Emma Marie Love, an only child, was born on May 14, 1918 to Charles A. "Chi" Love and Emma E. Hewlings in Ellensburg, Washington. She lived in Ellensburg almost her entire life until the summer of 2001 when she moved to Olympia to be closer to her family. A kind and gentle soul, Emma was a member of Church of Christ in Ellensburg. She received a lot of enjoyment in life through her gardening, her children, and grandchildren. Over the years, she worked in various positions in retail and at Central Washington College in Ellensburg, and finished as a volunteer at Kittitas County Health Department until her move to Olympia. Emma married Forest W. Worgum on January 26, 1938 in Ellensburg. Together they had four children who grew up in Ellensburg. Later they divorced and she married Homer Dennis. She is survivd by two sons: Maurice L Worgum (Sharon) of Olympia, Wayne Worgum (Sandy) of Yakima; a daughter, JoAnn M. Mesojednik (David) of Olympia; 10 granchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husbands, a son and daughter-in-law, Philip L. Worgum (JoAnn), and a great-granddaughter, Grace. At her request there will be no funeral services and burial will take place in the IOOF Cemetery in Ellensburg. A family memorial will take place at a later date. The family requests that any donations may be made to the American Red Cross in her name.
