Obituary of Terry Michael Brown

TERRY MICHAEL BROWN 04/14/52 – 12/14/05 Terry Brown, 53, died on December 14, 2005 as a result of toxic epidermal necrolysis. Terry was born in Olympia on April 14, 1952 to Vincent Brown and Patricia Faber Brown. He graduated from Olympia High School in 1970. Terry earned his BS in Landscape Architecture from WSU in the 1980’s. As a young man Terry worked as a self-employed landscaping contractor and later as owner of South Sound Handyman, which was consistent with his fiercely independent streak. Terry also spent his adult years buying, remodeling and selling houses in Washington and Idaho. Terry had a love of nature, plants, and outdoor art. He collected marbles, fine furniture and bottle stoppers. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his grandsons at the swimming pool, taking walks, going to movies and building projects with them. He was a loyal friend who cared greatly about his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, the former Vickie Schilling, stepdaughters Gabrielle Schillling Wemple (Shawn), Amy Schilling Thurman (Thomas and son Gabe); grandsons Louis, Jasper and Sam; his mother Patricia Faber Rickert, stepfather Fred Rickert (Olympia); father Vincent Brown, stepmother Coralee (California); brothers Rick Brown (best friend Patty), John Swearingen (Chris), Dean Brown (Barbara), Paul Brown (Lisa); sisters Gail Brown of Olympia, Debbie Peck (George) of Redding; nieces and nephews Jeremy Swearingen, Kayla Swearingen, Hailey Swearingen, Lucas Swearingen, Autumn (Ryan) Hayward, Nathan (Noelle) Seaunier, Chad (Chrissy) Seaunier and Robin (DJ) Agniak; uncles Jim Brown, Patrick Brown, Mike Faber (Alvina), aunts Georgene Guerin (Mike) and Rose Brown.
