Obituary of Terry Vanice Bradley

11:30 AM to 12:45 PM Saturday May 27, 2006 at the Church prior to the service TERRY V. BRADLEY Terry Vanice Bradley was born December 12, 1941 to parents Vernon D. and Minnie Louise (Rice) Bradley in Las Vegas, Nevada. She enjoyed many desert adventures with her brother and sisters, her sorrel pony Ogee, childhood friends and various cousins. In her teenage years, she met and married Daniel P. Choate. Their children are Sheryl, Robert, Berkley and Daniel C. Choate. Later in life, she married Robert Schooley, their daughter is Teri Lynn Schooley. Terry lived most of her life in Nevada. She was a casino card dealer for many years in Carson City, Beatty and Las Vegas. Although she preferred the desert, she lived the last 15 years in Littlerock, Washington to be near her children and their families. She attended many weddings, grandchild births and family parties. She enjoyed watching the grand kids’ sporting events, high school and college graduations. She especially enjoyed family potlucks that ended around a roaring campfire with laughter and great conversation. Terry enjoyed bulb flower and vegetable gardening. She liked experimenting with various recipes. She was especially proud of her homemade salsa and jams. She designed and sewed quilts for her newborn grandchildren and various family members. She enjoyed making matching flannel shirts and vests for her sons and their children. In the evening of May 21, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer, she passed into the waiting arms of her beloved “Daddy” and sister Judy. Terry is survived by her five children, 13 grandchildren; Jason, Brandy, Leslie, Amanda, Louise, Richard, Mindy, Tom, Lucas, Alex, David, Samantha, Ciara and month old great granddaughter Bailey, as well as, her mother Louise, sister Tracy and brothers Butch and John Bradley. Terry’s children wish to express gratitude for the generosity of coworkers, family and friends in our time of need. We also appreciate the services and compassion given to our mother by Group Health staff; Dr. Dabe, nurses MaryAnn, Trish and Jeff. We deeply appreciate the services and hugs provided by Providence Sound Home Care and Hospice staff; Zeryn, Kathy and Krissy. Special thanks to Hospice volunteer Ginny Smith for her kindness, patience and gift of time to keep our mother company and become her “friend”.
