Obituary of Wilbur Lee Anderson

Visitation will take place after the service Wilbur “Andy” Lee Anderson was 92 when he passed away peacefully at Evergreen Convalescent Center, Olympia, December 21, 2004 at 8:45 p.m. He will be greatly missed by all. Andy was born May 24, 1912 in Monte Bello, California to Daniel and Ethel Anderson. At an early age Andy left school to begin working to help his family. He played baseball for San Jose State College and was considered a promising player. In 1942 at the age of 30 Andy enlisted in the Army until he was discharged for medical reasons. Following his honorable discharge, he began a 21year career as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. In 1953 he met his first wife May Schultz, she preceded him in death in 1980. In 1967 Andy started working as a Massage Therapist for the Jack LaLane Spas in California until his retirement. After the death of his first wife Andy moved to Olympia and joined the singles group known as Focus. It was there he met his future wife Rose Olsen. They were married in April 1981 by the Reverend Jim Ripley until the time of his death. Andy and Rose have four children: Jerry Olsen, Sheryl Vance, Karen Kelly, Shirley Jones, 10 grandchildren: Shawn, Leslie, Brad, Aaron, Lee, Debbie, Rick, April, Tenika and Amber and 13 great grandchildren: Alexis, Nicholas, Tyler, Brandon, Miranda, Katherine, Derek, Matthew, Megan, Grace, Ethan, Tyler K. and Adaya.
