Obituary of Robert Edward Wright

Robert died of lung cancer on September 22, 2013 in Olympia, Washington, at age 67. He was born December 20, 1945 to Robert Edward Wright Sr. and Betty Lou Stansbury in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He married Lisa Goodman in April 1993; she died of cancer in July 1993. In addition to living in Rochester, Washington for the last six years, he also lived in Vancouver, Washington and Portland, Oregon. Robert was Army Airborne and served in the Vietnam War from 1963 to 1966. Professionally, he was a commercial window cleaner his entire life, working for such companies as Commercial Building Maintenance and ABM. Robert was an honest, outspoken, strong-willed, and very hard working man, who loved hunting, fishing, video games, listening to music, and watching movies. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Robert is survived by his son, Tony Wright of Warrenton, Oregon; daughters, Barbara Shields of Rochester, Washington, and Sara Thornton of Vancouver, Washington; 10 grandchildren; one great grandchild; brothers, Phillip Wright, Melvin Wright, Jerry Wright and George Wright; and sister, Nadine Wright.
