Obituary of Aino von Neudegg

Aino von Neudegg, 84, passed away on November 24, 2013 at Providence St. Peter Hospital, Olympia, Washington. She was born November 25, 1928 in Tallinn, Estonia to her parents, Aleksei Simin and Annette Elisabeth, nee Toom Simin. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter F. von Neudegg, whom she met and married in Paris, France in 1949. Aino became a naturalized US citizen on August 10, 1954, and with her husband, Walter, eventually followed their two sons to the United States. Early on, Aino was a gifted ballet dancer, and later, with Walter’s support and encouragement, added snow skiing and tennis to her athletic talents. She served for many years as a volunteer at Providence St. Peter Hospital and Mother Joseph Care Center, always willing to help with parties and family/resident celebrations, as well as assisting by serving residents their individual meals. Aino is survived by her sons, Christian and his wife Nola Von Neudegg, and Walter Anthony and his wife, Lori von Neudegg, as well as multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren.
