Obituary of Betty Jane Robison

Betty was born March 26, 1922 in Bellingham, Washington to her parents, Carl and Florence Hart. She grew up in Bellingham with her brothers, Ed and Thomas, and sister, Eileen. She graduated from Bellingham High School in 1941 and then attended the University of Washington. Betty met Robert “Bob” Stover Robison at the UW Library and they married October 31, 1942. They lived in the Seattle area for many years before moving to the Olympia area. Together they raised their six children, Jeffrey, Mark, Tim, Marcia, Colleen, and Laurel. Betty enjoyed being a wife, mother and homemaker to her family. She had many interests, including swimming, hiking, sailing, sewing, weaving, kayaking, knitting, and traveling in the U.S. and abroad. She especially enjoyed camping and outings to Kalaloch with her family. Betty led a very active life. She was a member of Homemakers Club, Olympia Weavers Guild and League of Women Voters. Her family remembers her for her great sense of humor, being funny, and managing a crazy household of six kids, as well as multiple dogs and cats. Surviving are her children, Jeffrey Robison, his wife, Shinobu, their daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Maia Robison and Dr. Wade Weigel, and their son, Aiden Weigel; Mark, and wife, Fernie; Tim and partner, Sandra Clavero; Marcia Robison Holt and husband, Jack; Colleen Robison Potuzak and husband, Mischa, their daughter, Tessia Potuzak, and son, Aron Potuzak; Laurel Robison Gunsaulus and husband, David.
