Obituary of Joanne Robinson

Betty Joanne (Makings) Hipps Robinson, 82, of Olympia, Washington, passed to be with her Lord on November 9, 2014, after a brief illness. Born in Ludell, Kansas, on May 18, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Ray Makings and Martha Ellen (Marrietta) Makings. She was a member of Lacey Seventh-day Adventist Church in Lacey, Washington. Joanne had many hobbies and interests. A few of those were camping, gardening, watching or attending Mariners baseball or Seahawk football games with her grandsons, and spending time with family and friends. She also was quite the bull-riding fan. Joanne was an active member of the Wally Byam Caravan Club International and the Washington Unit for approximately 19 years. During this time, she spent many years on the Board as the Treasurer. She enjoyed many rallies and caravan trips. She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl (Hipps) Komenda of Olympia, WA, Sharon (Eric) Ballenger of Anchorage, AK; son, David Robinson (Joan) of Olympia, WA; grandchildren, Bryan (Brittany) Komenda of Austin, TX, Jessica Komenda of Seattle, WA, Brandon Komenda of Olympia, WA, Ryan Ballenger of Anchorage, AK, and Megan (Brad) Orlich of Richardson, Texas; and great-grandaughter, Brynlee Komenda of Austin, TX. Joanne is also survived by two brothers, Terry (Mary Helen) Rasor, and Douglas (Beverly) Rasor, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation Information: 

Visitation will be on Friday, November 14, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Funeral Alternatives of Washington, 2830 Willamette Drive NE, Suite G, Lacey, WA 98516. Service Information: The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014, 2:00 p.m. at Lacey Seventh-day Adventist Church, 5831 Mullen Rd., Lacey, WA.

Interment: 

Interment will be held at Harrison Cemetery in Harrison, Idaho, on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 10:00 a.m.
