Obituary of Jerry Roy Reynolds

Jerry Roy Reynolds Jerry R. Reynolds, 73, died October 10, 2013 at his home in Shelton, Washington, after a very short illness. He was born on August 10, 1940 in Yakima, Washington. Jerry was the only child of Roy Reynolds and Shirley Wright Reynolds. At a young age, Jerry moved with his parents to their home on Sleater-Kinney Road in Lacey. He attended the old Lacey grade school and was a proud graduate of North Thurston High School, Class of 1958. He married Janice Gates in 1959 in Olympia, Washington. They were married for 13 years and had two children, Mike and Sandy. In 1990, Jerry married Katherine Reick McCombs in Olympia. Jerry was employed in the construction industry, working as a plumber. He was a lifetime member of the Northwest Plumbing and Pipefitting Union Local 26, and worked on many projects in Olympia and western Washington. Upon his retirement in 1997, Jerry and his wife Katherine moved to Lake Limerick in Mason County. Jerry liked traveling in his RV, especially spending winters in Arizona. He enjoyed clamming, fishing, huckleberry picking, and, in his younger years, dirt bike riding. He was a member of the Sanderson Field RC Flyers and spent many happy hours flying, building, and repairing remote control airplanes. Jerry was a long time friend of Bill W. Jerry is survived by his wife, Katherine, at the family home; his daughter, Sandra Kores of Olympia; his son, Michael Reynolds of Rochester; his stepdaughter, Tonia McCombs (Bruce Armstrong) of Portland, Oregon; and stepson, Charlie McCombs of Monroe. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Amanda Seaunier, Max Lyons, Matthew Reynolds, Chad Kores, and Hannah McCombs; and one great-grandson, Evan Mason.
