Obituary of Roi Thi Nguyen

Roi Thi Nguyen, 94, passed away on July 19, 2014, at Capital Medical Center in Olympia, Washington. She was born in Vietnam and immigrated to Guam in April 1975, moving to Olympia in June of that same year. Roi enjoyed spending time with her family, keeping close ties with friends both near and afar, cooking, gardening, fishing, and watching TV game shows. Roi will be remembered for her love of family and friends, warmth, and a giving heart. She adored her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Roi is survived by her sons, Cung Hoang (Thu) and Chung Hoang (Vong); daughter, Khieu Hoang (Thay); 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives. Roi was preceded in death by her husband, Thinh Van Hoang; daughter, May Thi Hoang; and grandson, Vu Cat Hoang. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Tu Thien Hong An Charity, or a charity of donor’s choice.
