Obituary of Isabelle Mae Milholland

Isabelle Mae Milholland was born to Roy and Alice Smith in Olympia, Washington on March 1, 1926. She grew up in Olympia, graduating from Olympia High School in 1944. She worked at The National Bank of Commerce, The State Licensing Dept., and The Washington State Library. She met her husband, Phil, when she was four years old. As children, they played together while their parents picked blueberries. When her lifetime sweetheart returned from the war, they were married on July 6, 1945 and lived their entire life in Olympia. Isabelle had a love for Hawaii, her family, friends, flowers, Gaither quartet music, and singing with Phil as he yodeled. Isabelle passed away on September 8, 2014 in Olympia. She was preceded in death by her infant son, James Theodore; great granddaughter, Andrea Isabelle Rebekah Goercke; and older brother, Russell Smith. Isabelle is survived by her husband, Phillip Milholland; daughter, Beverly Goercke (Dan) of La Pine, Oregon; daughter, Sharon Travis (Dave) of Sunriver, Oregon; son Del Milholland (Cindy) of San Marcos, California; son Bryant Milholland (Betty) of Olympia,Washington; 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
