Obituary of Donna D. Meyer

Donna D. Meyer, 87, born to Monroe and Martha Doan on April 29, 1927 in Bay City, Michigan, passed away peacefully at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Washington, on September 14, 2014, after a long illness. She had been a resident of Mother Joseph Care Center for the past eight years. Donna was a Registered Nurse for more than three decades, doing patient care in an intensive-coronary care unit in Southern California. She loved nursing, helping her patients and making many lifelong friends while doing her work. Donna is survived by her husband of 67 years, Stan Meyer; and three children, Sandra Smith of Rainier, Stan Jr. of North Carolina, and Cheryl Vogt of Brea, California. Her youngest daughter, Mary Travis, preceded her in death. Donna will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Providence St. Peter Foundation will be greatly appreciated.
