Obituary of Cinda Kiser

Cinda “Munga” Kiser, loving wife, mother, sister, grandma, great-grandma, aunt Cis, and cousin, passed away “o dark thirty” on Sunday, June 22, 2014. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ed “Papa” Kiser; daughter, Kandy Ritter and son-in-law Andy Ritter; and daughter, Lois Peterson and son-in-law Kris Peterson. Cinda is also survived by five grandchildren, Justin Ritter and wife Kelly Ritter, Lindsay Greene and husband Daniel Greene, Evan Kiser and wife Dailee Kiser, Jim Peterson, and Chaz Peterson; nine great-grandchildren, Laila, Allie, Qwaapeys, Skyla, Daniel, Nola, Diya, Noah, and Reese; sisters, Susie Lisk and Lonna Fry; and, not listed by name, a very large extended family who each held a special place in her heart throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Kiser; and brother, Steven Snyder. Munga was famous for her cooking, especially her delicious “Munga Beans.” She was an amazing cook who always had requests for her taco salad at family gatherings, as well as her tasty pot-of-the-roast. Munga also spoke a language that very few could understand , the ever popular “Black Lake Talk,” which included words like brown stockings, hoo-hoo, landing field cake, by-god-dough -god, dear me suds, solomon’s, naners, nunie blankets, porch talk, and spitting little green apples. Flowers of any kind were her favorite. She loved gardening, decorating, gift giving, chickens and geese (inside joke). Hawaii was one of her favorite places, and tea time was her favorite time of day. Family came first above all else to Munga. She taught us all that, when times get tough, you always have family and it is our responsible to take care of each other. She taught us life’s lessons with her strong will and gentle heart.
