Obituary of Paul Floyd Hargrove

Paul, 68, a resident of Lacey, Washington for the last nine years, passed away at his home on November 10, 2013. He was born January 22, 1945 in Seattle, Washington, to Ernest and Helen (Richards) Hargrove. Paul had lived in the Longview, Bremerton, and Ferndale areas and, over his lifetime, he traveled throughout Washington State. Paul married Susan in 1965; they later divorced. On July 1, 1997, he married Dianna June Hurst in Longview, Washington. Paul worked as a pipefitter welder, and was a member of Local 26 of the Plumber and Pipefitters Union in Bremerton, Washington, for 35 years. He had received the Union’s Award for a Job Well Done, and set a precedence of how to do a technical weld that holds better and stronger and is still used today. Paul enjoyed the out of doors. He loved fishing, smoking salmon, riding his Harley – The Cosmos, his birds Cloie and Jingles, and also his dog Max. He loved football and country music. He especially loved his wife, Dianna, and his children. His family will remember his sense of humor, his nice head of hair, and that he was very helpful, honest, hard working and religious (he was called Preacher Paul). Paul is survived by his wife of 16 years, Dianna Hargrove; sons, Kirk Steven Hargrove and Kip Ernest Hargrove; daughter, Tara Leiann Hargrove; grandchild, Trace L-Chance Hargrove; his mother, Helen Kenney; brothers, Don and Steve Hargrove; sister, Elana Manderfield; daughter-in-law, Elvena Ricketts; and his former wife; Susan Hargrove. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Hargrove; and grandparents, Mary Rinaldi and James V. Richards. He will be greatly missed by his family members.
