Steve, you were an upperclassman and as such, intimidating (to me at least even though my sis was in your class.) I looked up to you in awe! Your band and your cool car and the tight-legged black Levis that all you guys wore…you were so cool. The most important thing I remember, the way you spoke, gentle and caring and your quiet laugh, always with a welcoming smile!

So many thoughts and memories of Steve have come flooding back into my mind over these last few weeks, and they are all happy memories. When I think of Steve, that wonderful and unique smile of his is always there, and I hear his delightful laugh in my head. My heart goes out to all of you as you continue on in life’s journey. I wish you courage in the days ahead and peace to fill your souls.

Steve was a true mariner in all sense of the word. He stayed the course and followed his compass in everything he set out to accomplish, be it with family, friends, work, or projects. His time with us was all too short and the Lord had another course for him to follow. Be at peace now and suffer no more pain. I extend deepest sympathy and prayers to his family members and condolences to his close friends and colleagues.
