What a lot of good memories I have of Bobby and his family, knowing him 48 years. There were so many holidays together, great camping at the state park, shared birthdays, picnics in the back yard. There was also hours and hours and hours spent between those three brothers talking about fishing, going fishing, tying up fishing gear. I am sure they are at it again. The stories are just getting bigger. Rest in peace

My fondest memories of uncle Bob were fishing. I always tell people that he could catch a fish in a mud puddle. My father always spoke highly of him. The three brothers are together again. When my time comes I hope they are there to great me with a fishing pole. Uncle Bob you will be missed.

In Loving Memory
God gives us each a gift of life To cherish from our birth. He gives us friends and those we love To share our days on Earth. He watches us with loving care And take us by the hand, He blesses us with countless joys and guides the lives we’ve planned. Then, when our work on the Earth is done,he call us to his side, To live with Him in happiness Where peace and love abide. In Loving Memory Bobby G. Dean

I knew Bobby for over 30 years first in bowling and later in Senior Softball. I’ve never known anybody to say a bad word about him. I always considered him to be a good friend and a valued teammate. He will be missed by many people. Rest in peace my friend.

Dear May and Greg and Family,
I shall so miss Bobby’s encouragement and tips for improving my bowling on the senior league at Westside! He was a great guy and shall be greatly missed by us all. What a trouper he has been down through the year from falling off a roof, being air-lifted by helicopter (I think it was) to St. Pete’s, and most recently his ill health with a blood disorder! He never gave up: a lesson to us all!
Fondly,
Jan Matzelle

I met Bobby at Senior Softball last summer when he was recovering and adjusting to new medication, and anxious to get back to playing. I liked him immediately, and was especially impressed with his extraordinary positive attitude. I was still in a kind of recovery mode myself, and I liked being around him. Besides, he let me use his green bat, and when he pitched, it always felt good to send one of his offerings deep into the outfield! No need to go into any detail on what he did to my pitches, but I later figured out that it was better for me to get on his team. We got to talk more, and I got “roughed up” less.
When I once expressed an interest in maybe getting back into bowling, that was it – he not only motivated me into it, but he really helped with advice on where, when and what gear to buy. Fortunately, there wasn’t the element of competition like in softball, because from me, there really wasn’t much. Maybe that’s why he was also so helpful with advice and encouragement on how to improve: either he was setting me up (didn’t work because my bar was so low), or I was just fortunate enough to come across one of the real Good Guys at a vulnerable time in my life.
I thank you Sir!
