Donald Bunch

Obituary of Donald Bunch

Donald Bunch Sr. Don was born at home in Hoquiam, Washington, on May 31, 1922 to Margaret E. and Howard Bunch. He was the 9th of 10 children. He served in the Navy during WWII after marrying Hildred M. Germain of Aberdeen. They had three children, Donald Bunch Jr. of Ocean Shores, Diane St. Germain-Dewey of Olympia, and Barbra Rose of Tacoma. He had four grandchildren, Lanelle DeCaire, David Bunch, Lorraine Jensen, and Daniel Bunch, as well as two great grandchildren, Jasmine Jensen and Serenity Bunch. Don was a natural craftsman at almost anything he touched, from woodworking to mechanics, from totally restoring his 1955 Chevy truck to operating his pile driver and building docks on Mason Lake. He took care of his family, and was known to share such sage wisdom as “Danny, never wear your Pumas in Yuma.” He is also survived by his brother, Stan of Hawaii, and many special nieces and nephews, including Sharon Pickar, Margaret Germaine and Mary Baumann. He was predeceased by his wife in 2008 after 65 years of marriage. He was loved and will be missed tremendously. Please leave memories of Don or condolences for his family in the Guestbook below.
