Obituary of Jesse Loren James DeLaughder

Jesse Loren James DeLaughder suffered an accidental death on June 6, 2023, in Lacey, Wash.  He was born October 16, 1996, to Malinda (Petersen) Luna and Loren James DeLaughder in Vancouver, Wash.  He resided in Tacoma, Wash. (2015-2023), and in Spanaway, Wash. (2000-2015), where he completed his sophomore year at Spanaway Lake High School (2013).

 

Jesse was super intelligent, funny, sensitive, caring, and compassionate, and will be remembered for being a jokester.  He loved the family cat, Kiki, with all his heart.  He especially enjoyed drawing, gaming, and reading the National Geographic.  He had a dream to attend the Art Institute of Seattle.  He asked Jesus into his heart in 2003 at the Church for All Nations.

 

Jesse is survived by his mother, Malinda Luna, and stepfather, Gary; stepsisters, Autumn and Ashlee; grandparents, Pamela McCann, Gene and Debbie (step-grandma) Petersen, and Rhonda Castrilli.  He was predeceased by his father, Loren James DeLaughder; grandfather, James DeLaughder; great-grandparents, Ella Hamilton, Harry and Ruth Petersen, Charalee and Donald Engberg, and Ronald Castrilli.

 

Jesse was extremely loved by his family and friends and is tremendously missed.

 

Family and friends will be informed when a service has been scheduled.
