Obituary of Renee Elizabeth Warren Fiskness

Renee Elizabeth (Warren) Fiskness was born February 14, 1948, and passed away July 28, 2023, at the age of 75. She was born to Flora Mary Warren and James Spencer Warren of Spokane, Washington.

Renee married Bruce Allen Fiskness in February 1969, and they had three children together. Renee was a devoted mother and wife to Bruce for over 45 years until his death in March 2014.

Her working years were spent serving children in the Olympia area in several day care centers.

Renee is survived by her daughter, Kellie Schill of Tacoma, Washington; and sons, Jeff Fiskness of Tacoma, and Scott Fiskness of Lacey, Washington. She also leaves behind eight grandkids, Taylor Fiskness; Molly, Channing, and Nicole Schill; Frances Jackson; Claire, Amy, and Justin Fiskness; and one great-grandchild, Arwen Jackson.  Also surviving is her long-time devoted partner, Steve Cheek of Lacey.

Renee loved her children; grandchildren; husband, Bruce; and partner, Steve. She had a great sense of humor, didn’t take life too seriously, and loved her cats over the years. Renee also loved the children she was responsible for in her working life.

Renee is predeceased by her father, James Warren; mother, Mary Warren; brother, James Warren; and husband, Bruce Fiskness.

A private family gathering is planned for late August.
