Obituary of Dale Marvin Anderson

Dale Marvin Anderson passed away of liver and bone cancer on July 25, 2023, in Centralia, Washington, his home the past 33 years.  He was born November 20, 1952, to Francis and Ella Beatrice Anderson in Chehalis, Washington. He lived in Lewis County the majority of his live, except for a short time in California.

 

Dale graduated from W.F. West High School in Chehalis, attended Centralia College and a carpenter’s trade school in Tacoma, Washington.  Professionally, he was Carpenter Supervisor at Korsmo Construction; helped his brother, Duke, build a house; and, for a short time, drove dump trucks for Wayne Anderson.

 

He married Judith “Judy” Pries on February 21, 1992, in Chehalis.

 

Dale could build anything from bird houses and planters to million-dollar buildings, including Little Creek Casino, several schools throughout the state, and professional buildings all over Western Washington. He loved working in his shop, fishing, boating, traveling, and just being outdoors.

 

Dale is survived by his wife, Judy Anderson; sons, Kenneth Anderson and Dante Higgins; daughter, Kristina Anderson; stepson, Donald Binion; stepdaughters, Mandy Majors, Rebecca Higgins, and Amy Huffman; 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; brother, Francis “Duke” Anderson Jr.; and sister, Brenda L. Lowery.  He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Wayne Francis Anderson; sister, Sandra M. Kehoe; and grandson, Danny Acker.

 

Services will be held Friday, August 18, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Fort Borst Park Kitchen 1, 2030 Borst Ave., Centralia, WA 98531. Burial will take place Monday, Augus 21, 2023 at 11:00am at Claquato Cemetery.
